Emma Raducanu ends her season and will keep coach into the 2026 season.

The British player reached the third round in three of the four Grand Slams in the current campaign.

The British tennis star Emma Raducanu has pulled out of the last two tournaments in 2025 as a result of a health issue that has affected her over the past 10 days.

The 22-year-old had planned to participate in events in Asia but has decided to fly home to regain her health before starting plans for the 2026 season.

Those preparations will include coach Francisco Roig, as both individuals have decided to continue collaborating again next season.

Raducanu had her blood pressure taken while playing the initial match versus Ann Li in Wuhan and withdrew when behind 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.

She needed once more a visit from the doctor at this week's Ningbo Open, where she lost in three sets to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in the opening round.

Raducanu was also moving far from freely in the deciding set against Zhu owing to a lower back issue that has troubled her at times this year.

These outcomes followed a positive campaign, in which the player advanced into the world's top 30 after more than three years since her previous ranking, concluded with three straight losses.

Raducanu had three match points before losing to Jessica Pegula in the third round in the Beijing tournament last month.

Raducanu won 28 matches this year and made it to the semi-final round in the Washington tournament, but her most impressive week was at the Miami Open in March.

Ranked first in Britain advanced to the quarters of the WTA 1000 event, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed en route then falling in three sets to Pegula, ranked fourth.

She worked with Mark Petchey from Miami until Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role for the US Open.

The first plan with the former trainer of Nadal was for the remainder of the year but the collaboration persists, with a training block pencilled in for the end of the year.

She mentioned that the trial session with Roig after Wimbledon was like a "secret mission" as the meeting was kept under wraps.

The player was close to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at the first competition with Roig in August's Cincinnati tournament.

Roig joined her in the New York tournament, where she reached the third round prior to losing to Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
