The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Acclaimed young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.
The publisher did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
To date, he has released more than 40 books in total, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
